Herring
Craftsmanship in every herring
In cooperation with partners in Denmark and Norway, herring is processed into a Dutch quality product under our constant supervision that we proudly offer to our customers. Whether it concerns buckets, vacuum bags, manually or mechanically filleted herring – every matjes is prepared with care and craftsmanship.
Guaranteed wide assortment
We combine our many years of experience with modern techniques. This allows our herring to be processed quickly and carefully into products that meet a wide variety of needs. We produce frozen buckets of 5 kg gilled product, vacuum-packed bags of 8 or 17 kg, or filleted products per tray. Always of high quality and MSC-certified. This means we not only offer a wide range, but also a strong guarantee of quality.
A craft in itself
Processing herring is a craft in its own right. Herring is a product of nature and therefore no batch of herring is the same. Depending on factors such as fat content, the feed in the stomach, weather conditions during catch and transport to the factory, each batch requires a specific treatment – ranging from the right salt content to the perfect maturation time. At Dulk Haasnoot Seafood, every herring is processed with the same care and craftsmanship. This ensures consistent and high quality, allowing our customers to rely on an honest and artisanal product.
